Sea Forts

"These are the Sea Forts, that were used to defend London in World War Two. They are off the North Kent coast in the Thames Estuary. During the 1950's the forts were left unmanned and taken over by pirate Radio Station in the 1960's." Possible inspiration for the AT-AT in Star Wars?
