If I may suggest, it may not be easy to find an IDPA match near you but it may be easier to find a SASS match nearby. It's police-style scenario training using the 19th century cowboy metaphor. It's fun, too! Check sassnet.com to find a club near you. Even if you have someplace to shoot semi-auto matches, it doesn't hurt to change up your training a little.
It also doesn't hurt that you get to buy more guns.
