I agree with his answer: it all comes down to Jesus. That was good but the rest is opinion. I have never heard a youth minister speak as if he endorses youth leaving the faith when they get to college. Nor have I seen Christian young ladies en masse only go for "good guys" and not godly men. I do know some good, godly young men who are single but that's not because the women they're interested in settled for "good."
But that's all an aside. The author's point was pretty good even if he did make it with anecdotal information and hearsay.
