I don't agree. These young people go into the internship knowing they will not make any money. If they feel that it isn't worth their time, they are free to leave. They are not forced to work there. They are not held against their will when they do. If they find out that the internship is more of free labor for the company than it is a learning opportunity for the intern, then they can walk away.
