Considering that the brand has been producing whiskey for 90 years, it’s odd to realize it has been a significant player in the international whiskey world only since the early 2000s. Part of that is due to its own wishes; Suntory is able to sell all it can make within Japan’s borders. Lucky for a few of us, then, that it releases a small fraction of its annual production for export and distribution.
