Pin it! These plates are tough practically indestructible. I've put thousands of rounds through ar500 steel 5.56,9mm,45,40,7.62 and none of them ever went through. This plate carrier has these same plates, and the price for the entire rig is a steel. This is definitely a set up to trust your life to.

I have the same plate carrier with AR500 plates (from thetargetman.com), it's heavy as hell but an unending shelf-life and extremely low price tag makes up for it.
