I was really into the sentiment of this, but the following line made me stop and think. The similarity to something a member or ISIS might say is pretty striking. We ought not to stoop down to their level.
"I can promise you this… the Geneva Conventions will not apply to you. You attack us and there will be no mercy. We will bring the righteous hand of God down upon you and crush you."
The sentiments of this letter is frank and pointed. It's not white washed with political banter and empty gestures. It is correct that the Geneva Convention doesn't apply to terrorists such as ISIS, al-Qaeda or any number of radical groups.
One of the Marine Corps most decorated Generals in it's history said it best.
“Our Country won’t go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won’t be any AMERICA because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race!” - Lt. Gen. Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller, USMC
