It is still unclear what part his conversion to Islam had to do with the attacks. He may just be a very mentally ill person.

VERY mentally ill, pending further information. The "savage" part still applies, though. You don't cure a guy like this with a Master's in psychology. You probably don't cure him at all.

I agree Jake. Our mental health system is totally jacked. Only the mentally ill can put them selves in a hospital and they may be the worst person to make that decision. Instead they are wandering the streets. Many are homeless, a handful wind up in prison which makes them worse, and a few commit atrocities like this. Terrible.
