I am SO glad more states are looking at similar reforms. This is one of the worst laws on the books. New Mexico also seems to have done things right to avoid the federal partnering (mentioned in the article) that allows state and local LE to bypass state laws. Several other states passed reforms prior to NM, and their LE agencies circumvented the law via federal partnering on asset seizure. Now we just need to get federal reforms in place.
