I grew up going to Bass Pro in Springfield during short trips with my parents. Now we have two different locations in Kansas City. It is great to see this building repurposed, but the contrast between a hunting lodge (their traditional architecture) and a pyramid is definitely jarring!

That must truly be an architectural eyesore, I mean, wonder! Now, if we could just get the construction done in Springfield.

I saw the Grateful Dead in that pyramid on April Fools Day in 1995, just a few months before Jerry Garcia died. Great show. Hard to imagine it as a retail store now.
