As a former employee of a video store, this article hit home and reminded me of some great times, interesting people and the movies we shared.

Agree with this but also agree that the movie/TV industry has gone down the crapper. I cannot watch TV with my kids anymore even if it is 'family friendly' show because of the commercial in between are so raunchy that its just not worth it. Even the cartoon/animated movies have some sort of political axe to grind and feel that my child's mind is fair game. The industry is often remaking classics (Vacation, Charlie Brown, etc.) just got get by. Sorry to by cynical but I honestly don't even download movies on iTunes anymore. Never have been a Netflix/Hulu customer. Stating as Ronnie would have: I didn't leave movies, movies left me.

I absolutely agree, we dropped cable tv about 6 months ago and I'm not looking back. It's all crap, especially the commercials, and my wife and I began questioning why we should be paying for this. It got to where even watching the news just pissed me off and the commercials are unbearable......there, I feel better now.
