Not real practical though. Look at the bottom where it is about to topple over. Put a drink on that and then enjoy picking it up off the floor. Delta put tables like these in their Sky Clubs. They were a fiasco.

An astute observation, but I can assure you it isn't "about to topple over". What you are seeing is the weight of the steel in the front third depressing the carpet. I had to make mine higher than what a lot of people would because of the height of some of our furniture, thus it is heavy and pushes down into the floor on a soft surface. On a solid surface it sits perfectly flush on the ground. In neither case does it nearly topple over, nor would I recommend building something like this if it did.

These are NOT meant to put drinks on. If you put something heavy on the top and front of it, it will obviously fall over due to its shape. It is meant to hold an iPad next to a piece of furniture and is quite practical for that purpose—which is why I built it.

Part of the thing with DIY projects (at least for me) is that they don't always turn out perfectly but you try stuff and tinker with it and see what happens. I liked it and it was useful enough for me that I shared it, but it may not be for everyone.
