A clockwork. I have always liked a good watch, but generations that live now (and I am a member of one) use it to show off, not to tell the time. Just because it's not a multifunctional device. "Look,it tells the time in London, Moscow, Tokio, makes my sandwitch, does the dishes, gets me a girl, shoots down a HAWX and saves the prime-minister.
