Book Condition: Excellent to Very Good. The hardcover is in great shape with dark navy blue and no color fade. A very small seperation (pictured) and some slight wear on the top side. The only wear inside is the first page attached to the cover has seperated(pictured). But the spine is still tight and NO loose pages. There is slight vintage browning of pages Clean with NO : rips, folds, marks, stamps, highlights, writing. The novel begins with the battle-scarred ship Caine's departure from San Francisco (Sept. 1943), to the typhoon and mutiny off the Philippines (Dec. 1944) and the ensuing court-marshall. Captain Queeg is a poor leader; what ought the rank and file do when unquestioned obedience is mandatory? The intellectual dilemna is not new and all the more greater for servicemen of educated and free countries. The basis for the great 1954 American drama film set during World War II, directed by Edward Dmytryk and produced by Stanley Kramer.
