I am one of those people you are wondering about. It was not until two years ago when I turned 21 and had trouble with college that four separate doctors diagnosed me with Aspersers. I was on meds for a time but they had negative effects on me, so I am back to my old socially awkward self. Personally, I think people should stop being so emotional and a little more introverted. Really, all these diagnoses are just theories used to fit the norms of are sociohistorical frame of mind. I would have been fine 100 years ago.
