I was born and raised in Duisburg, Germany. I have also lived in Queensland, Australia where I picked up most of my English language skills. Having studied Modern History, Politics and English at Bonn University, I have been an open source and free software enthusiast for many years now. I always wanted to be a journalist and I'm now working for the online publication The H as a writer and get to learn about new open source stuff every day.
I love playing Minecraft, dabble in the painting of canvas and of Warhammer 40,000 miniatures as well as computer art and enjoy listening to old school Rock’n'Roll. I love penguins and foxes, am a huge fan of the short lived TV series Firefly and have been a Star Trek nut pretty much all my life. I am also a hat aficionado.
