Seventy-nine-year-old Werner Freund has a unique gift. The ex-paratrooper and now Wolf researchers from Germany can get along with wolves so well, it's almost as if he were a member of their pack. Indeed, it's been forty years since he first started living among the wolves and raising the young animals in his ‘Wolfspark’ sanctuary, located in Merzig, in the German state of Saarland. The close relationship between Werner and his wolves is quite obvious from photos of the wolves eating meat straight from his mouth.
