Pin it! The Houston Art Car Parade was launched in 1984 when Texas artist Jackie Harris transformed his 1967 Ford station wagon into the "fruitmobile" with simply $800. Now, every May this world-recognized parade attracts approximately 250,000 people and over 250 vehicles like this flaming mad-man mobile.
