Doesn't the 220gr .300 AAC Blackout sub-sonic solve the problems mentioned in the article? Just to finish the thought, doesn't the BLK also solves the problem they wanted to solve with the SCAR program (and the derivative ACR)? That is, the desire for a convertible 20 to 30 cal. rifle; and back again? And the BLK does this less expensively, using less changed parts (same mags and upper receiver)! Why go through a big expensive program when Remington/AAC has solved the problem for you? Oh, I forgot; it's government run. Boneheads.
