Not much good news coming from Venazuela these days. My heart goes out to them and how they are suffering. It's interesting that socialists want to claim the Northern European counties but they won't claim places like Venezuela. From observation it seems like the Venezuela route is the most likely outcome when countries not already successful turn socialist.

I seriously doubt there is any American intervention. I don't believe our president want to meddle in and bring any attention to a floundering country where many of his dream policies are already in place.

I guess in Venezuela, 'they' were not the ones they'd been waiting for.

Yeah unfortunately not. Socialism just seems like the right thing to do until the money is gone...

With regards to US intervention, it's tough to get a good read. I've seen mixed reports about their involvement. However, I wouldn't put it past them. There's a lot of oil at stake.

    To make matters worse...

"Venezuela is arguably one of the most dangerous countries in the world and Caracas has been declared the most dangerous city. To make matters worse, Venezuela is an entirely gun free zone. Security guards are not even allowed to carry guns. However, this has not deterred criminals from carrying guns and they have been taking full advantage of people who are no longer able to protect themselves and their property. "
