1. So BAH is being reduced to reimbursement levels only. 2. The traditional retirement option is going away for the youngest folks coming in. 3. They'll likely bring in outside "talent" to fill manning gaps. 4. There has been "force shaping" for the last decade while mission levels stay constant, and 80% manning is now 100% manning...deal with it. 5. The VA would rather let veterans die than have their fake numbers look bad, and I know specific people who literally fear dealing with the VA.
How would Ash Carter, congress, and the commander in chief like to kick the military in their collective balls next?

We need leaders who understand the military. Not worship or hate it. It has a vital role in our country and it doesn't look like it has been used correctly in a while.
There is a place and a role for tradition, especially in the military. Promotion through the ranks is traditional and for a good reason. It trains and hones leaders.
Having said that, I attended a friend's retirement from the Navy the other day and it made me REALLY miss being in. Maybe I would rehire me? Nah. Too old.
I can't give a mustache approval for this one because the idea is so ludicrous that it makes me wonder what the hell is going on in D.C.? Are those in charge so hell-bent on choosing an ideology over reality that they'll sacrifice the safety of the public so as to stay true to their dogma? WTH?
