You have to admire the sheer cojones to build such a magnificent home...where no one can see it. It's one thing to flaunt your wealth, it's quite another to keep it to yourself. I bet there's still style seeping out of Vanderbilt's tomb to this day, like diesel fuel from the Arizona.
