Powerful statements. As a father of 2 boys, one in the throws of becoming a man, in the air force, the other a ten year old. I feel those struggles. However, the devils advocate might say, take a good hard look at how you acted in late teens and early 20's, probably caused some trouble, but hopefully learned from those mistakes and became a better person for it. I do agree however that as men we need to take a stand for who and what we become, and how we continue to instruct our children even when they have left the house.
