Normally I don't mind if I ordered a lot and there is a long line, however when there is nobody behind me I cringe when they ask. Therein lies the hard decision, take a stand and have spit in my food, or back down and vow never to go there again. I always go there again.

As far as "first world problems" go, complaining about getting sun burnt by walking from the office to the car, whining about going out because he won't be able to buy a sports car, and whining even more because he doesn't like to sweat and because he is woken up by construction sounds pretty much like perfect examples of first world problems to me.
And for the record, I love to inhale cheeseburgers before I even open the bag. Cheeseburgers taste better than air.
I learned from various people I know that work in fast food that they do this to keep their drive-through time up (like the person on your blog pointed out). This does not, however, make me feel sorry for them or want to help them out with that, considering they're just trying to get me to help them look better as opposed to just doing a better job.
