I've been on a mission to find good barber shops that do the whole straight razor/DE razor shave. Quite a few in Bend, Or. One or two in Sacto, Ca. None in my hometown of Redding, Ca.

I owned a coffee shop for years, before selling it and going back to school. I say this because my shop was exactly what you are looking for. Everyday we would get into deep, energy driven, religious, political debates. It was awesome, and I really miss that. You are right however when you state that there is really no place for men. I hang out with my kids and my dog and my wife since I moved.
