The whole thing just makes me sick. I'm thankful for men with the wherewithal to protect their loved ones. I hope the person responsible for these deaths and injuries receives the full weight of justice. That won't bring back the lost lives, but this cannot go unpunished. Just an awful situation.
Honestly, so often in our society we classify "men" by what car they drive, how muscular they are, how great a beard they can grow, or how many women they sleep with. Truly, a man is characterized by how he treats those around him. These are true men that would give their lives to protect others.
A boy trying to prove he's a man showed his cowardess, and real men showed who they were in the moment of crisis. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
