Good information but PLEASE, PLEASE...do not watch this and think you can disarm a gun man. This man has practiced this and practiced this hundreds if not thousands of times. To ingrain a movement into one's reactions one must practice said movement at least 1000 times. This makes muscle memory and reaction one and the same. We teach gun disarming techniques at PhD Martial Arts/Kung Fu San Soo at least once a year. (Knife techniques as well). I've been doing this for 14 years. Honestly, in class, I can disarm you quite easily. In the street I have not been tested. I feel I have a better than average chance of not getting shot in a close quarters situation than most. Like he said, the gun will go off (and in a knife situation, there will be blood) and discharging guns, whether you're around them a lot or not, can cause a momentary distraction.

    My 2 cents...
