This is true. The reason I bought a Dyson about five years ago is the same reason I bought a Honda Commercial lawnmower 15 years ago: I got tired of inferior working stuff that broke every other year. That great working (then ridiculously priced $1100) lawnmower cost has amortized to way less than several cheap, crappy Sears lawnmowers (like my dad used to make me push around). Maybe it's just me.
