"Black widows are relatively rare, and most of us will never see one..."
I kill 3-6 every summer in various spots around my yard. Never in the house though because we have it sprayed annually.

^^^ +1 I used to kill a ton every year when I lived in NM. Wood/bark piles are your enemy.
