I've been to Rooster's, and I enjoyed the sentiment. The reason I don't go back: a real barber is better at cutting hair, conversation, and 1/3rd the price. These places want to be like an old fashioned barbershop... but I prefer an old fashioned barbershop. I will concede that it was nice to drink a cold beer during the process.

That's too bad that you had that kind of experience. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and had a great barber and conversation. I know that it is a franchise throughout the country, so perhaps there was a difference in the locations we each attended.
