Just finished reading a great series of articles on the Zimmerman/Martin trial written by firearms and self defense instructor Massad Ayoob. 17 in all, and every one worth the read. The last one dealing with the fallout for the law enforcement personnel who tried to make sure an innocent man didn't get railroaded.

When Mr. Ayoob speaks, we must listen. His radio interview with Tom Gresham also summed up his feelings on the subject very well. He was, I believe he said, consulted by the original attorneys as a possible expert witness but it never became official. Because of this interaction with the defense I'm pretty sure he knows more than enough to comment responsibly. And he did; pure self defense.
