I have often wondered what various departed American icons would have to say about today's society.

The fact that people in the tea party only care about themselves and don't care to help their fellow man. An I got mine so you take care of yourself attitude.

No, I believe theTea Party, Libertarians, libertarians, and many others do care about their fellow man and freely give to private charities. They just get riled when they are forced at the point of a govt gun to give to your charities.

I think The Duke would give a head nod to letting a man make up his own damn mind.

I merely ask the following in Socratic fashion.

1: Do you know this from personal interaction with individuals identifying with this movement, and directly questioning their motives and what drives their philosophy? (assuming we are not dealing with inarticulate absolutists, because they exist within every movement but do not help to enhance understanding)

2: If that is not the case. If your assessment was not formed by first source, direct inquiry, how influential was the media in forming your opinion?

I believe there is a lack of understanding between people because of a lack of face to face contact and honest conversation. It is from that perspective that I found such relevance in this audio clip.
