I feel like I'm on the hook for a about 1/2 of that. My grad school is $$$

You know, my wife and I had (and have) pretty substantial student loans, but it's not like we were tricked into anything. We knew exactly what we were getting in to when we took them out and are making sacrifices now to pay off the loans that we voluntarily took out. Most of those didn't go to books or tuitions, but to rent, groceries, and the like. Probably should have cut expenses quite a bit more then.
