I am 53 years old. The country I was raised in no longer exist. Caring ,compassion and morals seem to no longer exist. You cant have an opinion unless it aligns with Mr. Hope & Change and todays Washington Mindset.

I agree with Mac1701, but the company, i.e., A&E, has rights too. They pay these guys a lot of money and the Robertsons have an obligation to be good ambassadors for their employer. I would bet they signed contracts that said they will not embarrass their employer. Robertson showed disrespect for his employer, irrespective of his personal feelings.

I do not see how his comments regarding a personal opinion were disrespectful to his employer. A&E has made a lot of money from Mr. Robertson's personality and opinions. If anything, it was a karmic experience for A&E.

(and of course both parties were well within their rights to react as they did, as the rest of the country is has a right to support the party of their own belief system... I only add that to rule out the potential derailment of the topic)

While I agree that Phil's comments and the entire interview were ill-advised, I think that they have been a little overblown. If you actually read the actual quote he didnt compare homosexuality to bestiality. He listed several sexual sins including heterosexual promiscuity and labeled them as wrong. Where is all if the outrage from heterosexuals that engage in extramarital sex???

I've never watched Duck Dynasty, I've heard about it but not actually watched it. As an American however I like Phil, because he did what Americans (and Christians I might add) are supposed to do, he shared his opinion honestly and openly. The man didn't go to a gay club and start yelling at them, he answered a question in an interview honestly. I think anyone posting or reading a "manly" website such as this should appreciate honesty.

He never compares beastiality to homosexuality. He never says homosexuality is any worse of a sin than promisquity. It really sickens me that people are so quick to take what a man says and degrade it to a point where that man looks like a "homophobe" or bigot. If someone is a giant's fan, noone calls them a "jet-o-phobe". I know many people are going to argue my views but I find it a cowardly trait to attack someone who believes in what the Almighty deems sin. THAT"S WHAT RELIGION, ESPECIALLY CHRISTIANITY, IS! Standing for what you believe! The big picture is that we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. No matter how "big" or "small" our sin is. Phil addressed the issues in the manor a Godly man should. And so what when it comes to his distaste for the image of a man's anus compared to a woman's vagina. I believe the same way? Anyone who has ever seen a Will Ferrell movie has heard much worse. So all I am saying is America is so quick to find fault in someone that they will ignore the log in their own eye to pick out the "SPECK"(not even a speck in this scenario) in anothers eye.
