I'd like to know more. Is there a formula?

Enlightenment is a path that is not easily defined. (after all, I'm walking it as well). I have a blog post coming out next week about prayer and meditation. These are the two most powerful tools in our spiritual arsenal. We must use these daily if we want to walk the path of love. We must also let the shackles of our past go...we must accept what we have done, and pray and vow never to do harm to anyone again...including ourselves.
So I guess if there was a formula for enlightenment, then it would be:
Acceptance (forgiveness) + prayer (asking) + meditation (listening) = Enlightenment

Well done BarbarGuru, and thank you for minting this. I couldn't agree more that a large aspect of Love is being allowed to struggle, fail, and struggle some more. I think too many people underestimate the necessity of difficulty and the awesomeness of gentle encouragement. Keep it up!

Thanks Chet. Indeed, struggle is something that our society doesn't recognize. It only portrays the 'good-life'. This can often lead people to the idea that if they are not living the 'good-life', then they are somehow less-than. This can cause a myriad of problems, including despair and depression. But if everyone realized that everyone is on the same path, including the ones living the good-life, then it gives us all hope...and hope is a very powerful force. Hope leads to action. Hope gives us faith. Faith empowers us to move towards love, which ultimately leads to Enlightenment.
