Exactly this. Even a broken clock gets it right twice a day.
Lots of other alternativeedoa outlets have been talking about this. Sen. Rand Paul has legislation the FAIR act, trying to stop this crap.
John Oliver can go back to England.

Please don't confuse John Oliver with news. His show is nothing more than his spin and opinion.
That said, I've heard of this before and it is an egregious violation of our rights. I've even heard that there are consultants who help police forces do this. Also note that unless they are detaining you, you don't have to answer their questions. Just do it respectfully.
