I don't think the left hates the military per se... I think their entire POV of the world is rainbows and unicorns. They argue and believe in a world that DOESN'T exist, while the rest of the world responds to the real world that DOES.
Liberals have fallen under a spell... Victor Davis Hansen speaks on this a lot. It's the great consequence of living a comfortable and safe life. We for get there is real evil in the world, while we squabble of "gay rights" and more welfare for the masses, when we already are the most charitable nation that has even existed.
Victor David Hansen is a lone prophet on this issue and has been speaking loudly about it since our issues with Putin started. Have a read.

+1, especially regarding how out of touch with reality they can be. Matches many of my experiences with "progressives" (I can't call them Liberals because they are the opposite of classical liberals) that I have known/interacted with.
Not familiar with Victor Davis Hanson but I will go check him out.

I think their attitude is based on vanity. They want the world to know they are smarter and more charitable than conservatives.
