Good timing Matt. I have my BGE burning as I type this (except mine has a Cajun pork tenderloin on it. Will have to give the tri tip a go in the very near future.

BGE + Tri-tip = a match made in heaven.
Lately I've found that if I can't find a tri-tip in the area, a flat iron steak is a pretty solid replacement.
I'll try this on my traeger. I've never cooked a tri tip before....suggestions anyone?
Usually my general rule of thumb is ~15 minutes each side at 300. Your mileage may vary :)
Low and slow with lots of turning for a nice even char.
