Cool use of miles and points. I like Amex's program the best. Overall, I used to travel like this guy and do not miss it one bit. I miss the upgrades but not the time away from my family. I took a lower paying job just to stay local. I am proud to say I have zero status with any airline or hotel. ;-)
I don't travel much anymore either. Almost zero airline points. I still get my AmEx reward points but it takes so many to earn a flight that I rarely use them for that. But it does give me free access to almost all of the airline clubs so when I do travel, I get that little perk on a layover.
