Not surprising at all! :)
I heard an interview with Brian May on NPR and they asked about wearing out the tape with overdubs. He said it was overstated. They could see that the tape was getting thin so they recorded the mix down onto another so they could continue. So they didn't technically wear out the tape, they did wear it thin. :)
Cool stuff! It would be curious to know if there was a single top song in the past ten years actually written by its singer.
IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN! Oops, got that stupid song in my head from all the commercials. And speaking of commercials when is Hell Bent for Leather going to get it's commercial? Sorry to have gotten off topic.
It's not Hell Bent for Leather but Honda did use the intro of Judas Priest's The Hellion/Electric Eye for a minivan commercial a couple of years ago.
Missed that one. There is hope for humanity.
