I am preparing to build a 12-foot table for our back patio. This gave me some ideas on how to construct that beast. I now know that I definitely need a Kreg jig.

Thanks for sharing and the Kreg Jig is amazing. I have used it on EVERY project so far.

I have been wanting one for some time but did not have a project to justify it. The table build will provide that justification nicely.

I bought the big case with everything in it. There was a $50 rebate at the time and I bought it from Woodcraft. Well worth the money.

Man, I wish they would offer that rebate again. Did you get the Master System? If so, was it the K4 or the K5? It's funny on the Woodcraft site how they lined out the K5 price of $159.99 and replaced it with...well, $159.99. What a deal.

It was different. Same price point at the time at 159 but it included a complete tool box. It was all the bits in the K4 but with a nice multilayer box to put it all in. Looking at Woodcraft or eve Kreg that they do not seem to sell it anymore, thus the Rebate. I purchased mine about four years ago. I would do the K4 and that has done everything I needed it too.

Apparently they are now selling the organizer case as a separate item for an additional $40. I did find a brand new K5 system, with the organizer, on eBay for $159.

That is what I have. Unless you have a really organized workshop (which I don't) it is a nice set up. You will end up buying other screws and bits.
