      Yeah, that part of Rogue One was pretty weird. In the 1990s, Marlon Brando said that eventually all actors would simply be digitally created for films. He even had his head digitally scanned doing different reactions, so he could be recreated in the future. We're definitely starting to see more and more of that, but is still disconcerting to see it, at least with current technology.

        Did you ever see S1m0ne? Al Pacino creates a digital actress to save his career. It was an okay film but a cool idea.

        In Rogue One, they could have just show Leia from behind and we would have all gotten it. Her CGI face looked like plastic and didn't help. I thought they mostly got Tarkin right though his eyes often looked hollow and sometimes his mouth moved weird.

        Seeing Disney go back to practical effects in Star Wars gives me hope. It seems the best use of the best CGI consists in light touches not dominance.
