Be prepared for speed limits under 45mph as Top Gear showed us several years ago.
That said, I know of a few really nice roads in Northern California that were just as fun as those shown. And the speed limit was above 45mph!
For those of you with a lead foot that is...just sayin'.

It's not necessarily impossible to drive down those roads over 45 MPH, it is just very, very expensive to do so.
