my mom used to sew. i had a girlfriend that was a wizard with a sewing machine. never occurred to me to use one. seemed something for the ladies.
then i met sigfried.
ass kicking martial artist. mountain biker. upright bass player. lady's man.
he also made all his own clothes, from leather pants to shirts to sport coats. from that meeting to this moment i have wanted to get a machine and try it; never have, probably never will.

Some of the best sewers I've ever met were Smokejumpers. They sew pretty much everything they use.
