I used to live next to Grant Park. It is a gentrified neighborhood with folks of means and the ghetto. The folks with means send their kids to private schools while the rest go to charter schools like this or public schools which are all pretty much garbage. Long ago Public schools became the ultimate waste of taxpayers money. My wife was a Teacher in public schools, in the worst neighborhoods like this. The Public school system looks out for their own, not the kids. They fill the children heads with liberal theory and victimhood. They long ago forgot about the common good, but rather use it as a cover for their self serving views.

If you can't pledge allegiance to the country you live in then by all means...go find one you can.
And letting students create a pledge? Because letting young skulls full of mush create something has worked so well in the past.
