This is a fine example of an operator's pistol. All of the things you want on a 1911, mag well, extended beavertail grip safety, Novak sights, accessory rail, etc.

This is a terrible example of the operators handgun! The 1911 is outdated platform. If you insist on a 1911, then you need to look at Nighthawk, STI, SVI, or Dan Wesson. There is a reason why reputable LEO/.mil do not run them.

BCV, I unfortunately have to disagree. Sig's Tac Ops is a PERFECT example of an "operator" pistol. An "operator" pistol is just classified by having a rail forged into the frame, which the Tac Ops does.
Now every oen of the manufactures you listed also makes excellent 1911s but Sig has proven its reliability over and over.

The only problem is, Sig really screwed the pouch with this, read the reviews. Reliability issues, feeding issues, and its inconvenient inconsistency. You want reliability, then go with a P226 Tac Ops, or if you insist on a 1911, TRP all day!

BCV- hum. Could you be referring to the Blackwater by Sig, which was replaced by the TacOps. I haven't read one bad thing about the newer TacOps and I have read A LOT about the Tac Ops. Either way I appreciate your feedback!
