An affordable line of blended Scotch whisky with a high malt content, that's now available in the US in 8 year old and 12 year old releases. A premium line of 21 year old and 50 year old blends are also planned for the US market.
I've personally tried the 8 and 12 year blends, and they are both excellent and affordable daily drinkers that can be used for mixers or neat. Good stuff!

Just a further point-Talisker is the only whisky actually made on Skye.

I've heard that Talisker is a major component in this blend, but that it also includes malt whiskies from the Highland and Speyside regions, and of course some grain whisky in the blend. From the taste of it, the malt content is high for such an affordable blend.
