    What?

The film was a contemporary comedy mocking Hitler, and mocking him without reserve. In the end, when the good guy who looks just like Hitler is mistaken for him and gives a speech for him, he delivers a speech railing against racism, facism/totalitarianism and promoting that humans work together to lift each other and society from poverty and ignorance to literacy and abundance, and your response is "what a pinko!"?

The misquoted verse is meant to rebuke the idea that there was a master race, or that one human deserved more of God's grace (or any other earthly blessing) by virtue of their lineage, which was quite a fashionable ideology in the U.S. at the time, (as this film was released pre-Pearl Harbor). It still is, come to think of it.
