Interesting study. I think it would be worth sussing out how people don't understand tax rates and tax revenues in a study like this. I am willing to bet when most people think "tax" they just think income tax, and forget sales tax and property tax and all the other kinds of tax.

I usually shut down/tune out when I hear subjective terms like "fair", but this was interesting enough that I kept going.
I disagree about the use of sales taxes being "less fair". I see the argument that the farther down the financial scale you are, the higher percentage of your money goes to sales tax, however in a state like Flordia or any tourist driven economy, not leveraging a sales tax would be very foolish. There are other counter arguments as well, but still an interesting find.
