I remember this brouhaha. My parents were convinced that New Coke tasted JUST like Pepsi. My Dad, a Texan, to this day, will not drink Pepsi. Coke. Only Coke. Maybe Root Beer.
Me? Frankly couldn't tell at the ripe old age of 20. I was a Mt. Dew man back in those days. Coke was for old people. The Dew was where it was at.
Today? Can't drink a can of Dew. I can pound a Dr Pepper. Coke? Only if there's nothing else available. Pepsi? Never touch the stuff.
